Dr. Barnes is passionate about metabolic health and sustainable weight loss because he has personally lived the journey himself.
Years ago, before founding Reset Wellness, he found himself overweight, exhausted, frustrated, and struggling with many of the same challenges his clients face today.
Discovering the Ideal Protein protocol became a turning point; not just helping him lose weight, but helping him restore energy, stabilize cravings, improve metabolic health, and completely change the trajectory of his life.
What began as a personal weight loss journey eventually evolved into a passion for long-term health, fitness, and metabolic restoration.
Over time, Dr. Barnes progressed from feeling “fat, sick, and depressed” to completing a Half-Ironman triathlon at the age of 54 as a low-carb/ketogenic athlete— an experience that now shapes the empathy, encouragement, and real-world perspective he brings to every client he coaches at Reset Wellness.
